Start with one strong piece in your colors
Choose a single garment that carries the color story: a crimson mini, a burnt orange shift, a navy and white eyelet dress, a garnet skirt. Everything else stays neutral — cream, camel, ivory, gold. One saturated piece against quiet neutrals is what separates a well-dressed woman from a woman wearing a jersey.

Shoes, before anything else

Western boots are the classic answer and worth the investment if your fall calendar has more than two games in it. Otherwise a woven leather loafer, a block heel no higher than two inches, or a flat slingback in a neutral will carry you from the tailgate to the third quarter.
