The friendly ground rules for sharing closets with your favorite women — what membership means, how borrowing works, and how we all take care of each other’s pieces.
Welcome, and the ground rules
These terms are the agreement between you and My Best Friend’s Closet (“we”, “us”, “our”) for using mybffscloset.com and the community it hosts. They are written plainly on purpose. By joining or using the app, you agree to them.
Membership
You must be at least 18 years old to join.
You join by invitation of a friend or by request, and your membership is for you personally — please keep your sign-in details to yourself.
You agree to give accurate information, including your real name and a full, correct mailing address, since borrowed pieces have to travel between friends.
We may decline or end a membership if someone misuses the app, other members, or the trust this community runs on.
Borrowing between friends
Today, everything on My Best Friend’s Closet is free borrowing inside your own circle. There are no fees, no charges, and no payments between friends or to us.
You ask for the dates; the piece’s owner approves or declines. Nothing is confirmed until she says yes.
A piece is yours from the agreed start date to the agreed return date. Please return it on time — another friend may have it booked next.
Take care of a borrowed piece as you would want yours treated: keep it clean and in the condition you received it, and return it with everything it came with.
While a piece is in your care, you are responsible for it. If it is lost, damaged, or comes back the worse for wear, work it out graciously with the owner; we can help mediate but we do not insure pieces or process payments.
The owner decides who may borrow her pieces and may decline any request or remove a piece at any time.
What is coming soon
Renting from a member just beyond your circle, and buying and selling preloved pieces in the Encore Closet, are announced but not yet available. Until those open, no pricing, payments, or rentals are offered, and anything marked “coming soon” may change before launch.
Your photos and closet
Your photos and pieces remain yours. By listing a piece or adding a photo, you give us permission to display it in the app to the members who are allowed to see it.
You give us permission to use your profile photo and details to create styling images for you, including images generated with artificial intelligence, and to build your illustrated avatar if you have not uploaded a photo.
Only upload photos you have the right to share, and do not photograph or list items that are not yours to lend.
Please do not list counterfeits, replicas, or anything you cannot honestly describe.
How we treat each other
This is a community built on friendship and trust. Harassment, unkindness, pressure, spam, attempts to reach members outside the app without their invitation, and anything illegal are not welcome, and accounts that engage in them may be suspended or ended.
The stylist’s suggestions
Our AI stylist suggests outfits and renders how a look might appear on you. Suggestions are suggestions — fit, color, and condition in person are the final word, and what you wear is always your call.
Availability
We work hard to keep the app lovely and running, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every piece shown will be ready to borrow. Features may be added, changed, or paused as the community grows.
Ending your membership
You may leave at any time by writing to Stylist@MyBFFsCloset.com; we will close your account and delete your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please return any borrowed pieces and collect any lent pieces first. We may suspend or end a membership for violations of these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that pieces will fit, arrive on time, or be in any particular condition, and we do not supervise the loans between friends.
To the fullest extent the law allows, My Best Friend’s Closet is not liable for disputes between members, or for indirect or consequential losses.
You agree to use the app lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt to break into it, or use it to harm other members.
The legal details
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
We may update these terms as the app grows; we will change the date at the top of this page and, for anything significant, let members know in the app or by email.
